If you've been grinding through the gorgeous roads of Japan in Forza Horizon 6, you’ve probably noticed that enticing, locked-off area at the end of the map: Legend Island. It serves as the ultimate endgame zone, and right smack in the middle of it sits a specific Point of Interest (POI) that many players are trying to tick off their Horizon Journal checklists—the Radio Tower.
Getting there isn't just a matter of setting a waypoint and driving over, though. If you want to officially mark this spot as "discovered" and grab those completion badges, you have a bit of a journey ahead of you. Here is exactly how to unlock the island and find the tower.
Step 1: Unlocking Legend Island
When you first start exploring the map, you’ll find that Legend Island is completely blocked off by barriers. To drop those walls and gain access, you need to prove yourself through the Horizon Festival campaign.
Here’s the progression route you need to follow:
-
Keep racing and pulling off skills to earn festival points and level up your campaign wristbands.
-
Work your way up until you reach the seventh and final tier: the Gold Wristband level.
-
Once you reach the top tier, you’ll unlock a special final race called the Horizon Legend Wristband Event.
Line up at the starting grid, finish the race, and the barriers blocking Legend Island will finally lift, giving you total freedom to explore the endgame zone.
Step 2: Finding the Radio Tower
Now that you have full access to the island, it’s time to head inland. The Radio Tower isn't hidden away in a secret cave or tucked behind a waterfall; it's located right in the absolute center of Legend Island.
As you drive toward the heart of the island, keep an eye on the skyline for the massive tower structures cutting into the landscape.
Triggering the "Discovered" Badge
Sometimes, simply driving past a POI in Horizon games doesn't immediately register it on your map or in your journal. If you roll up to the Radio Tower and notice the game hasn't given you credit for finding it, don't worry. There are two quick ways to force it to register:
-
Use Drone Mode: Park your car nearby, open up the menu, and switch to Drone Mode. Fly the drone right up close to the main tower structure to trigger the discovery.
-
Take a Photo: Pull out your in-game camera and snap a quick photo of the tower structure.
Either of these methods should instantly pop the notification, confirming that the Radio Tower is officially discovered and checked off in your Horizon Journal. Have fun exploring the rest of Legend Island!
